Being able to poke around at an official Nintendo developed emulator could mean huge progress for Dolphin emulator, as they'll be able to look at what Nintendo is doing, then look at what they're doing. Dolphin has had support for different graphic types, including , although I have found it was a little buggy on the Shield. I have also been playing around with Dolphin emulator for Gamecube games, hit and miss so far, need to learn more about it and the settings. The emulator on the Nvidia shield is already reportedly more stable than dolphin. The performance does suffer a little in Vice City and San Andreas due to having the recording running at the same time. I've watched videos on youtube where these games work very good on Nvidia shield so i must be doing something very wrong.
Other proof consists of crashes that occur in the original versions in the game but don't in dolphin or the Nvidia version. Where did you purchase yours from? I haven't actually tried those 2 games yet on shield, I do know there are ways to get the wiimote working on the shield dolphin bar etc. Wii remote light gun games are dead on the Dolphin for now. To make a long story short, Dolphin has found the right path forward that would enable them to comfortably run the emulator on Android. I downloaded the latest version of Dolphin today Dec 26 apk and tested out a copy of New Super Mario Bros for Wii. The only thing on youtube are videos showing games running, and the forums i've looked at haven't helped out. I havnt tried older consoles yet but im sure they are fine, I have retroarch on it, load of cores downloaded, just havnt got around to trying that yet either.

Super Mario Sunshine is very playable, but Dolphin doesn't appear to have a setting to map an axis and digital button to the shoulder button. I doubt I'll get a chance to look for it tonight, but that's where I'd start if I were you.
